Francesco Molinari’s wife Valentina Molinari accompanied him to the 2012 Ryder Cup in Chicago. I must have fallen asleep during the 2010 Ryder Cup and missed the fact that there was a set of brothers on the European team. Though we missed it in 2010, we realized it in 2012, but only because this time around only one of the Molinari brothers will be suiting up for Team Europe at the Ryder Cup.
Francesco is the younger brother of Edoardo Francesco and if you couldn’t tell by their names both are from Italy. It would appear that Francesco Molinari’s wife is a smart little vixen here. Valentina was a sports photographer but also has a law degree. But, I’m going to guess that Valentina doesn’t practice much law these days while following her husband all around the world for golf tournaments. (Editor’s note: Seriously, has anyone ever heard that combo? What are they doing, taking pictures on the way out of the courthouse? Think they took pictures of Ray Lewis on the stand? I’m sorry,… I’m an angry Pats fan watching the Sunday night game against Baltimore. He was accused of murdering someone. I hate your motivational speeches, fraud.)
Francesco Molinari married Valentina 2007 and have a son named Tommaso. Francesco, or even his brother Edoardo, are not very famous on this side of the Atlantic. In the four majors Francesco owns the best finish and that is only a tie for 10th in the 2009 PGA Championship. That could all change if Francesco has a strong Ryder Cup and brings the trophy home for Team Europe. One interesting tidbit about the brothers Molinari is when they both play in the same tournament they still share a house if possible(Editor’s note: Hi I’m back. I fight my brother all the damn time. I’d never share a house with him, especially if I need to focus on work… I don’t get this one). The brother’s Molinari have teamed up in a few World Cup golf events to represent their home country, Italy.
