Kay'La Hanson is a pre-med student currently enrolled at Weber State University in Utah. One could make the easy leap that the couple met there, as Lillard played his college ball for the Weber State Wildcats before the Blazers took him with the 6th overall pick in the 2012 draft. Lillard immediately took over in the Pacific Northwest, but is still working to make a bigger name for himself to the rest of the country.
Kay'La Hanson is regular to her Twitter and Instagram accounts showing support for Lillard, often expressing how much she misses him while on the road. While the Trailblazers superstar is well known to dedicated NBA fans, All-Star weekend is likely to be the opportunity for Lillard to make sure everyone else finds out more about him. Lillard will be making his presence felt across five events during All-Star Weekend. Besides making the Western Conference reserve squad, he's also entered in the Dunk Contest, which has an exciting field for the first time in a long time, as well as the BVCC Rising Stars Game, Skills Challenge, and 3-point.
