After a rocky start in 2012, rookie pro golfer Russell Henley found stability in his golf game and is currently moving straight to the top at this weekend's Honda Classic. But, Russell Henley found more than stability in his game. In 2012, Russell Henley's girlfriend Molly Rumph moved with him to Charleston South Carolina, where the two found stability in their relationship.
The couple had been dating a long time before their move to Charleston together. Molly Rumph (age 23) and Russell Henley (age 24) have known each other since they were youngsters and began dating about eight years ago. He grew up in Macon, Ga., and she grew up in Montezuma, Ga., a small town in the same county.
For Molly Rumph, Charleston seemed like the perfect fit. She had just graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Furnishings and Interiors. She was used to a fun lifestyle as a member of the Phi Mu Sorority. She wanted to live by the beach and liked the lifestyle Charleston afforded. Russell Henley needed a place to practice while visiting his girlfriend, so he made a call to the Country Club of Charleston, and began practicing there alongside PGA Tour golfers, William McGirt and D.J. Trahan.
It seems the couple has really settled into Charleston. In May of 2013 Molly Rumph was hired as a Design Assistant at Eclectic, a full-service high-end boutique and interior design firm specializing in new and historic homes. Her artistry can also be found on facebook at Molly Rumph Interior Design. But, this weekend, she can be found watching Russell Henley at the Honda Classic, kicking butt.
