Sean Miller’s wife Amy Miller is the coach’s best authority.
When the couple first met, Amy Miller was a cheerleader at Pennsylvania’s BlackHawk High. Sean Miller had just transferred there as a sophomore and he was most certainly into basketball. This was some 29 years ago. It’s no wonder Amy Miller known the man so well.
Back then, Amy Miller was draw to Sean Miller’s ability to make her laugh as well as his surprisingly low-key attitude about attributes others might brag about. When Sean Miller was minutes away from receiving an award for being a standout point guard for the University of Pittsburg, he casually mentioned it and asked Amy Miller to go. Now that’s low-key.
"I'd say, 'Where are your notes? Where's your speech?' And he'd say, 'Aw, I don't have one. I'll just talk,'” - Amy told cincinnati.com.
Even though Sean Miller isn’t into bragging, Amy Miller is well aware that her husband hates to lose. Once, when they were dating, apparently Sean Miller wanted to win a game of miniature golf so badly he tried to distract Amy Miller during a putt.
Now, after 21 years of marriage and three children (Austin 18, Cameron 15 and Braden 12) the couple is settled into their Tucson Arizona home. Even after a short-lived 40-hour scare in 2011 that the family might move to Maryland. It was s rough transition for the family of five at first, but they are there to stay. And despite her desert allergies, Amy Miller and the kids love Tucson.
